Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12 July 2026

1. About Us

Hydrotec ("we", "us", "our") provides boiler and gas fire servicing, repairs, installation and landlord gas safety inspections across Lincolnshire. Hydrotec is operated by Dayle, a Gas Safe registered engineer (Gas Safe Register No: 227413). These terms apply whenever you book or use our services.

2. Bookings & Quotes

Quotes provided over the phone, by WhatsApp, email or in person are estimates based on the information you give us. The final price may change if, once on site, the job turns out to require more work, parts or time than originally described. We'll always let you know before carrying out any extra work not covered by the original quote.

3. Access & Appointments

Please ensure someone aged 18 or over is present to provide access at the agreed appointment time. If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give us as much notice as possible — ideally at least 24 hours. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for missed appointments where no notice is given.

4. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods stated at the time of booking. Any parts ordered specifically for your job may require payment in advance.

5. Parts & Materials

We aim to use good-quality parts appropriate to your appliance. Where a specific brand or part isn't available, we may fit a suitable alternative and will discuss this with you first where practical.

6. Guarantees

Workmanship on repairs and installations is guaranteed for a reasonable period from the date of completion, details of which will be confirmed at the time of the job. This guarantee covers our labour and does not affect your statutory rights or any separate manufacturer's warranty on parts or appliances.

7. Gas Safety

All gas work is carried out in accordance with UK gas safety regulations. If, during a visit, we identify an appliance or installation that is unsafe, we are legally required to advise you and may need to disconnect it or classify it as "at risk" or "immediately dangerous" in line with industry standards, regardless of whether this was the original reason for the visit.

8. Liability

We carry public liability insurance and take reasonable care to protect your property while working. We are not liable for pre-existing faults, wear and tear, or issues arising from third-party workmanship not carried out by us. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else which cannot legally be limited or excluded.

9. Complaints

If you're unhappy with any work carried out, please contact us as soon as possible so we can put things right. Contact details are on our Contact page.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time of your booking will apply.
